# Elenchus — master file (push and pull)

Save this in the Haiku folder. Read it before you teach. Do not drive the website with a mouse.

## Pull (read)

Always pull before you write.

1. `ping` — must return pong.
2. `get_library` — every deck and set, card counts, meters left.
3. `get_set` `{ id }` or `get_context` `{ id }` — cards in one room.
4. `list_notes` — the classroom board.
5. `sync` — full snapshot if you need nodes + decks + schedules.

Texas Driver Handbook id `tx-dl-2026` is the finished example. Pull it to see shape. Do not rewrite it.

## Push (write)

1. `upsert_set` — create or replace a deck/set. Include cards with 3 distractors.
2. `upsert_card` — one card into an existing set.
3. `add_from_chat` — a question the student just asked.
4. `set_choices` — three Learn-only wrong answers if a card is missing them.
5. `leave_note` — one line on the board when a room is ready.
6. `open_source` — empty rooms from a textbook TOC. Does not write cards.
7. `read_source` `{ url }` — one textbook page.
8. `attach_media` — only media that already exists on the page.

Never invent a picture. Never shuffle other cards’ backs as choices.

## Card shape

```
front: one tight question
back: one fact
distractors: exactly 3 beginner mix-ups
sourceQuestion or tags: section URL
```

Learn uses distractors. Drill and Write ignore them.

## This classroom

- Haiku leads. File the key.
- Gemma (Voical) speaks after cards exist. Does not author the key.
- Gemini discusses after cards exist.
- The room starts empty. Pull first. Then push.
- Memorizing static phrases feels like studying. Demonstration of concepts is studying.
